Small Chinese Famille Verte vase

Description
This small Chinese vase is decorated in overglaze red, green, yellow and brown, the Famille Verte palette.  This style of decoration was typically used during the reign of the Chinese emperor Kangxi (1662-1722). The decoration consists of four large panels with flowers, surrounded along the top and bottom by attractive borders. As is evident from the unglazed rim, this little vase probably once had a lid, which is, as usual, no longer present. The height of this small vase is almost 3.5 inches (8.5 cm).

Condition
Excellent, with only some minor wear to the enameled highlights and some small chips to the interior footring, which are not visible when displayed.

Age
Kangxi, circa 1700.

Price $245
