Chinese trumpet vase with figures
Description
This attractive cylindrical trumpet vase is decorated in underglaze blue with two
panels with a lady standing in a garden. These panels are reserved on an
ornamental background with butterflies. In addition, the outline of the panels
is molded into the porcelain paste. This vase is an excellent example of export
wares produced during the middle of the 18th century. The height of this vase is
5.75 inches (about 14.5 cm).
Condition
Good, with a large 1.25-inch and a small 0.2-inch flake chip to the rim.
Age
Qianlong, circa 1750.
