Large Chinese Famille Rose plate with flowers
Description
This Chinese export porcelain plate is much larger than common dinner plates. The
decoration consists of attractively arranged floral
sprays, which are executed in exceptional detail. The rim is decorated with three
flower groups, separated by a small flowers. The decoration is executed in the Famille
Rose palette. The diameter of the plate is 10.25 inches (26 cm).
Condition
Excellent, with some small chips at the reverse rim (largest 0.4-inch, others smaller)
Age
Qianlong, circa 1750.
